The Progressive Era was a crucial time for the growth of the United States, both as a world power and as a country. The Progressive Era took place between the years 1890- 1920. Within this very important era, several important things happened that would influence the country for decades. The most memorable thing that happened during the Progressive Era was when Women finally won Suffarge. This was a major step in the right direction when it comes to equality among genders and eventually races. Another major event that happened within the years known as the Progressive Era was the popularity of child labor and then the end of child labor. Child labor was very popular during the beginning of the Progressive Era but eventually lost a lot of support thanks to the string women who opposed it. All of this was jeopardized by the Great War. Also known as World War One (WW1), the War raged across Europe for a couple years before the United States decided to join in. If it hadn't been for the brave men and women in our armed forces, all that we had fought to establish and outlaw would have been all for nothing.
